Many artist incorporate sound in their practice from creating an atmosphere for the location of the art, to creating art that makes specific sounds.

Here are some examples

Paul Walde

Paul Walde uses sound in a variety of ways. In ICE RECORD he uses a contact microphone to rub against a cleared area of ice as if it was the stylus of a record player and the ice is the record. In GLACIAL he uses the sounds of a glacier melting but modifies it through musical instruments that themselves are turned into the speakers through transducers.
